OUR MISSION
What do we stand for?

Our mission is to bring children, youth and nature together in Tanzania for the benefit of all.

We hope to inspire and work with children & youth to clean up, fix up and conserve our environment.

We do this by actively engaging children, youth and the community at large in creating and sustaining; health, dynamic outdoor spaces in schools & communities, and children's rights.

Educational support for kids and orphans is the key to development. We believe everyone has the right to education, especially children, who are the future of humanity.

What is Chec?

The Children's Health and Environmental Caretakers have been making positive change happen in Tanzania since 2003 - change for our communities, animals and the environment . And it all starts with you! It takes just a few kids and youth of all ages who share a common desire to help make our world a better place.

We foster a fun, flexible and supportive environment where young people and adults alike come together to share ideas and inspiration, implement successful community service projects and participate in special projects and global campaigns. As Tanzanians we enjoy a climate of freedom and peace in our daily lives, and value community and togetherness very highly. Come make a difference with us!

Volunteer To Make A Difference

We invite you to discover the many ways you can give of your time as a CHEC volunteer and help shape the next generation of committed, caring and action-oriented adults. Whether they help out at an event or lead their own groups, CHEC volunteers all share one thing in common. They believe in the power of youth to help make our local and global communities a better place for animals, people and the environment.

Check the available volunteer opportunities where you can assist with program activities to reach more youth and children and help forge cross-cultural bonds.

Volunteers would be useful in lending their support and manpower to our initiatives using whatever skills and knowledge they have that may relate to our projects.
